Who is Sir Edmund Hillary, Nepalese Sherpa and Tensing Norgay?
Sir Edmund Hillary is a New Zealand mountaineer, explorer, and philanthropist. On the 29th May 1953 Edmund and Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer Tensing Norgay became the first climbers ever confirmed to have been reached Mount Everest.

Thanks for having a go at week one, day one, activity three. I found the facts that you wrote about Sir Edmund Hillary and his sherpa (guide) Tenzing Norgay really interesting. I would love to visit Nepal someday for some hiking!
This activity asks you to choose a charity that you are interested in (this could be the SPACA, the Auckland City Mission, OXFAM etc), and write a short explanation of what the charity does.
